The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is the largest balloon festival in the world, and one that I have been to twice since beginning my RV travels. There is nothing like waking up with my coffee to the view of dozens of vibrant hot air balloons filling the sky above my RV. It’s truly breathtaking.

During Albuquerque's annual balloon fiesta, the sky transforms into a breathtaking canvas of color and movement. I was there, camera in hand, seeking to capture this ensemble performance. The balloons, some with intricate shapes and others in bright colors, all went up together but drifted on their own air currents. I aimed to capture the collective bravery of these balloons, their coordinated movements that filled the sky with a lively burst of colors.

I adjusted my camera to frame the whole scene, capturing the moment when all balloons reached their peak, a climax where the sky was no longer just blue but a mosaic of reds, blues, yellows, and greens. As they floated higher, the balloons appeared to converse with each other, their colors and shapes forming a beautiful harmony. The photo captured this lively interaction, showcasing the shared dance that embodies the essence of Albuquerque's spirit.

Whenever I see this picture, I think about how each balloon, though impressive by itself, adds to a bigger tale—a festival of flying where colors and spirits unite in perfect harmony.
