As I explored the shoreline, I searched for the perfect vantage point, carefully trying to frame The Great Elephant Butte Rock against the endless sky and calm waters. Then, as I clicked the shutter, a boat glided by below, adding motion to the still landscape. In that moment, it reminded me of the visitors who come here to experience this New Mexico treasure.
