Gooseberry Falls Sunset Lower Cascades Minnesota State Park North Shore

Have you ever stood still long enough to feel the sound of water echo in your chest?

I arrived at Gooseberry Falls State Park just before sunset. The hike through towering pines felt both peaceful and expectant. As I neared the falls, the roar of water grew louder, blending with birdsong and wind through leaves. Light filtered through the forest canopy, casting golden streaks across the trail.

Finally, I reached the overlook. Gooseberry Falls spilled in tiers over volcanic rock, powerful yet graceful. The iconic bridge above framed the scene like a painting. I waited, letting the fading sun paint the sky in soft purples and fiery orange. It was the perfect backdrop for this long exposure waterfall moment.

The rocks were still damp from a recent rain, and I carefully positioned my tripod near the lower pool. The rush of cascading waterfalls echoed all around. As the shutter clicked, I breathed in pine-scented air and felt deeply grounded. This Minnesota state park photography experience captured more than a place—it captured peace.

Gooseberry Falls is one of the crown jewels of the North Shore MN landscape. Located off Highway 61 near Two Harbors, it’s known for its layered drops, forested setting, and easy access. This waterfall bridge view photo captures both the grandeur and calm of the park.

As wall art, this Gooseberry Falls waterfall photo brings tranquility and wild beauty indoors. Ideal for lovers of scenic Minnesota prints, it adds grounding energy to any home or office. This forest and river wall art is a reminder that nature always finds a way to move us.
