With the Grand Canyon getting so much attention, many of Arizona’s state parks are completely underrated and rarely visited. Unlike national parks that require some major hiking to get to the destination, there are a variety of Arizona’s state parks that offer scenic views with minimal hiking.
Those state parks that do have major hiking trails are some of the most scenic in the Grand Canyon State and are actually good alternatives to the Grand Canyon when the national park is in its peak season.
One in particular is an underrated Arizona state park with a dark name. But, this should not deter visitors from coming because the name does not do the park justice.
