One of the state’s most pedestrian-friendly downtowns, Cody is steeped in Old Western culture, evident in the town’s historic landmarks and old brick buildings. The most iconic attractions are on Sheridan Avenue, a beautiful downtown that is easy to explore. Unique shops and restaurants line the street, inviting you to walk around and browse. Here you will also find beloved historic gems such as the Irma Hotel. Walking further west, you will come across engaging exhibits at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West.
Also in Wyoming, Buffalo shares Cody’s rich Old West history while being surrounded by more mountain views. The downtown in Buffalo is similarly lined with cute eateries and shops, creating a friendly atmosphere. Downtown Buffalo even has its own historic hotel, the Occidental Hotel.
