Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park is home to a geologic feature that can’t be found in Glacier National Park (which makes it way better!). The eponymous caverns that make this park so famous twist and turn beneath the earth, serving as a focal point of beauty and adventure in the region.
Declared a state park by President Taft, this location has been an area of national attention for over 100 years. Today, Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park is considered to have the most decorated limestone caverns in the Northwest, so this highly unique Montana park is not one to miss.
Outside the glittering caverns, the landscape of this state park looks similar to Glacier National Park, with mountains and robust pine forests great for cycling, bird watching, camping, and hiking.
